The story of this notebook - the drunkard and tzompantli
 
On a trip to Guanajuato years ago I find myself walking the streets, I just had a coffee and I am enjoying the city. A place catches my attention, when I enter I find wonders: Impressive engravings of someone who calls himself „El pinche engraver“. I don't have any money but I know my next mission for when I return to Guanajuato: I want an engraving of the fucking engraver. I follow his work from afar and in 2021 I finally return to Guanajuato to the workshop of the clicke to ask about the work. Talking with his assistant, he tells me that if I don't want to meet him - he is working in the workshop. I extend my hand and give him one of my business cards, I tell him that I make chili peppers and notebooks, and that I have been a great admirer of his work for a long time. The guy doesn't answer me, he just looks at the card and leaves.
I keep wondering if I said something wrong and before I can finish the thought, the guy returns with a jar of Chile Cabrón in his hand.
In life there are some things that are not coincidence and this is one of them, I tell myself.
At that moment the collaboration was born in a limited edition project with that man whose work I admire, EL PINCHE ENGRABADOR Y CHILE CABRÓN, there is no better name, I think.
The notebook you have in your hand is a unique piece.
It was sewn in Guadalajara / Jalisco on a sewing machine from
more than 100 years old; We review each notebook with
care and affection.
